Parents and citizens association

The parents and citizens (P&C) association wishes that all parents and friends feel welcome and connected to the school.

The meetings are informative and friendly.  A selection of teachers have spoken about their expertise and areas of interest and parents have had an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about these programs and how they can benefit their daughter's education.

Also parents can participate in key decision making activities which harness their skills and encourage their excitement about education and learning.  Recently we have had parents on merit selection panels for choosing staff; involved in the canteen tender process and choice of uniform supplier, attending professional learning activities about the National Curriculum; as key decision makers in the finance team and in the school planning cycle, working closely with the principal and students to influence the strategic direction of the school.

The P&C funds a number of special projects and items to improve outcomes at Riverside. The P&C hold hand over ceremonies during school time to show appreciation and raise awareness of the P&C.

Another P&C initiative is the 'friends of Riverside' network established by the current P&C 2018.  Here you could find upcoming events, news and information.
