Our school can help with enrolment queries throughout the year.

Local enrolment area

Most schools have designated local enrolment areas. The School Finder shows our local enrolment area. Note: local enrolment areas are subject to change.

The Enrolment Process

The enrolment process for a NSW government high school begins when your daughter is in Year 6.

In Term 1, your daughter's NSW government primary school will provide you with a Moving into Year 7 in a NSW government school information guide. Within this guide is an expression of interest form that you will return to your daughters NSW government primary school.

If your daughter is currently enrolled in Year 6 at a non-government primary school, please download the Expression of Interest form in the Moving into Year 7 in a NSW government school information guide on the NSW Department of Education website. The Expression of Interest form should be completed and submitted to Riverside Girls High School within the deadline stated on the form.

For further information please contact your Year 6 into Year 7 transition coordinator at your current primary school or visit the NSW Department of Education website.

If you wish to enrol your daughter into years 8 to 12, please download and fill out our Enrolment Enquiry form. This form must be submitted to Riverside Girls High School.

Gifted and Talented

Riverside Girls High School is committed to supporting all students.

For the 2021 Year 7 intake, testing for the GAT class will occur on Orientation Day as a part of the day's usual activities.

Non-local enrolments

Our school may accept enrolments from outside our local enrolment area if places are available.

We will assess applications for non-local enrolment on a case-by-case basis.

All enrolment enquires can be directed to the school via email riversideg-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au or by telephone 02 9816 4264 to the enrolment officer. Please note, return calls from the school will appear as a 'Private Number' or 'No caller ID'.

If places are available we will advise you of an interview time and the documentation requirements needed.

An Open Day is held each year in March. We invite all prospective students and the community to come and visit the school on this day.

Temporary visas and international students

For information about eligibility and forms to complete, visit the Temporary Residents Program.

Distance education

Distance education is an equity program for students who are geographically isolated or whose individual circumstances prevent them from regularly attending school. Students must meet one of the conditions in the Distance Education Enrolment Procedures to be eligible to access this program as a full-time student.

Distance education schools also provide single subjects for students in Years 9 to 12 to enhance curriculum choice. Please contact us for details.

For more information about educational opportunities in rural areas, visit Rural and distance education.

Please contact the school for visit times and dates with our Principal.
