Uniforms

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

  • meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

  • includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

  • is appropriate for the full range of school activities

  • is suitable for all body shapes.

The partnership between school and home is vital in establishing clear guidelines for uniform.

By choosing to enrol at Riverside Girls High School you are accepting that we are a uniform school and that you will comply with the uniform policy. At enrolment, parents and prospective students are asked to sign a School Uniform Agreement. All students are to wear the school uniform each day during school hours, while travelling to and from school, and when engaged in school activities out of school hours.

We appreciate your support for the Riverside tradition of wearing the school uniform.

Choice of school footwear is very important to ensure comfort and safety while participating in all school activities, particularly to comply with WHS in the Science Labs and TAS workshops.

Please consider the following styles of black leather lace-up shoes when selecting your daughter's school shoes. Riverside does not support black leather lace-up trainers or soft-soled shoes due to health and safety reasons.
