Korean Buddy Experience

During my time as a buddy for my lovely Korean exchange student, I learned more than expected. The first day I met my buddy, was fun and exciting. We immediately hit it off. Her knowing a bit of English certainly helped as well as the great google translate, in maintaining a friendship. I, however, struggled to catch on to many Korean words, yet it was still funny for the students to hear me try so it was a win either way. We shared many fun experiences such as sitting at lunch together, making an 'Aussie' bread roll. As well as her experiencing Australian snacks. Throughout all the exchange students and buddies time together we got the opportunity to learn about culture, language, school life, friendship and the strength of having a laugh. I will forever be grateful for such an opportunity.
