At Riverside, we have a long established Gifted & Talented class. This class is provided with an enriched curriculum that caters to the particular needs of Gifted & Talented students. The class members are extended in all subjects to encourage higher order thinking, creativity and inquiry-based learning.
There is a Gifted and Talented class in each core subject. There is also the opportunity to choose special elective subjects such as Philosophy, and students take part in Macquarie University’s Big History Project as part of Elective History.
Prospective students must sit a General Abilities Test and submit two work samples from recent school work and assignments in order to be considered for our Gifted and Talented class. Please come along to our information evening to find out about our program and the application process.
